365 Artwork Challenge: Halloween Series – Ghostface from Scream

Happy Halloween everybody!! My last drawing from the Halloween drawing series is the iconic Ghostface from Scream movies series. First appear in the 1996 Scream movie where the identity was used by Billy Loomis and Stu Macher during their killing spree in Woodsboro. I personally think ghostface is the least scary horror character because it has been parodied a lot especially in The Scary Movies series. But I think it is still one of the legendary horror character and a great piece to end my Halloween drawing series this year. If you would like to purchase the original drawing, you can visit my shop here.

So this is my artwork #74, Ghostface from Scream, Charcoal Pencil Drawing on Paper.

I used Derwent charcoal pencils on Cougar 220 gsm A5 paper. I think this is the easiest drawing I’ve ever drawn. I’m sorry I don’t have any progress shot because I finish this piece for only 2 hours.

That is all guys, hope you all have an awesome Halloween!!

365 Artwork Challenge: Halloween Series – Chucky Doll or Charles Lee Ray from Chucky (Child’s Play)

Halloween is right around the corner, and I choose Chucky or Charles Lee Ray from Chucky (Child’s Play) as my latest Halloween drawing series. One of the most recognizable iconic horror character, Chucky or Charles Lee Ray is a notorious serial killer also known as The Lakeshore Strangler. I used a new tools to draw this piece and I think I loved how it turned out. If you would like to purchase the original drawing, you can visit my shop here.

So here is my #73 Artwork, Chucky or Charles Lee Ray from Chucky (Child’s Play)

As you can see in the picture above, I used Staedtler graphite pencils for the first time and I loved it. The 8B pencil lead is softer and darker than Faber-Castell’s. It also produce a doff black color, unlike other graphite pencils that usually reflect light/glossy.

Here is a couple of progress shot of the drawing:

365 Artwork Challenge: The Flash and Arrow Full Figure (Step-By-Step)

Another drawing challenge that I never made before is a full figure drawing of a person. In this drawing I made TWO full figure of The Flash and Arrow. Yeah, I know… sometimes I don’t know when to stop haha… As you can guess, I spent more time than usual to finish this drawing. The small details are making my eyes watery. But I think it is all worth it because I love how it turned out.

So this is my artwork #69, The Flash and Arrow Full Figure, graphite pencil on A4 paper.

365 Artwork Challenge: First Time Drawing a Family Member-My Mother Circa 1976 (Step-by-Step)

Another graphite pencil drawing is my first time ever attempt on drawing a family member. This time is a picture of my mother, using a reference photograph from 1976. I think I will give this as a birthday gift for her. I love the vintage look of the photograph and here it is my artwork # 66

365 Artwork Challenge: BATMAN – Charcoal Drawing on Moleskine

It’s been a while since I used charcoal pencil and I think the drawing of Batman on the shades like this one will be perfect for charcoal pencil since there are a lot of dark areas. The picture reference is from Pinterest.

Artwork #64 is Batman (I don’t know this picture is from which Batman movies though)

I used my favorite brand for charcoal pencil, Derwent Charcoal pencil set. Each set contains 2 dark, 2 medium, 1 light and 1 white charcoal pencils inside a tin pencil box. It’s pretty messy using charcoal on Moleskine sketchbook because the really smooth surface of the paper makes the charcoal powder from the pencil smudges a lot easier. I have to remember to use a lot of tissue or else the side of my hands will all be covered in charcoal.

And as you can see the drawing has a lot of dark background and I have used up one of my dark charcoal pencil, as you can see here:

But even in this state, the pencil still work perfectly. The charcoal quality is great and that is why I can rely to this brand all the time in terms of making a charcoal drawing.

That is all guys, have an awesome day!

365 Artwork Challenge: Star Wars Drawing on Moleskine, R2D2

The next Star Wars drawing is the cutest robot R2D2. I wanted to draw him together with C3PO but I can’t find a good reference picture. This one I got from Pinterest.

So, here’s Artwork # 63, pencil drawing on Moleskine Sketchbook

Star Wars Drawing Series - R2D2 Pencil on Moleskine

As usual I used Faber-Castell 9000 graphite pencil from H to 8B. I think in terms of graphite pencils, Faber-Castell is still the best. I used it all the time. And it worked perfectly on Moleskine sketchbook that has a very smooth surface paper.

That is all guys, hope you enjoyed it. Have an awesome day!

365 Artwork Challenge: Star Wars Drawing on Moleskine – Yoda “Do or Do Not, There is No Try”

Another Star Wars drawing on my Moleskine. This time is Yoda. My brother’s favorite character of Star Wars.

Here is my #61 Artwork

365 Artwork Challenge: Castle and Treasure Map Doodle on Moleskine

Since I was a little girl, castles and witches and treasure map, fantasy and fairy tales always fascinates me. Until now, I still find myself reading fantasy stories. When Shoo Rayner made a video about drawing castle and treasure map, I can’t help but doing it immediately on my Moleskine Sketchbook.

So here is my #60 artwork.

365 Artwork Challenge: First Sketch on My Moleskine Sketchbook

First illustration on my new Moleskine sketchbook is Tulips. I think I can’t go wrong with flowers;)

My artwork #58:

Tulips - Pen on Sketchbook Paper

Tulips – Pen on Sketchbook Paper

I used Sakura Pigma Micron pen for this drawing. Oh, and that novel is also a recent buy. Best historical fiction 2014 from Goodreads. Sets out on World War 2 (my favorite era) but quite depressing. I hope I can finish it at the end of this month so I can buy another novel that I got my eyes on.

That is all guys, have an awesome day!
